About Us
Dindeya Development & Support Organization began as an informal initiative in 2006. New migrants from Guinea, West Africa, found it necessary to unite in order to navigate the challenges of life in the United States. With small monthly contributions, often less than $20, the group created a shared pool of resources to support members in times of need: legal troubles, financial hardship, or major life events such as funerals.

Our Story
As the community grew, so did its ambitions. From 2017 to 2023, Dindeya raised over $50,000 to support development initiatives back home. These efforts included building a freshwater access point to serve the local mosque and nearby homes, repairing mosque infrastructure, providing school materials to underserved students, and renovating a five-classroom primary school.
In 2024, under new leadership, Dindeya set a bold vision to scale up its impact. The organization officially registered as a nonprofit, launched its digital presence, and shifted its focus to one of the most pressing needs in rural Guinea: healthcare. Inspired by the potential and generosity of the African diaspora in America, Dindeya is committed to ensuring that distance does not mean detachment.
Our 2025 campaign to rebuild the hospital in Dindeya is our most ambitious yet. We aim to raise $100,000 to provide essential medical care, equipment, and infrastructure to those who need it most. Together, we believe in Unity. Culture. Progress.
